The Spanish Association of Digital Temporary Rental Platforms (PAT) has now joined the European Holiday Home Association.

The Spanish Association of Digital Temporary Rental Platforms (PAT) was established in June, 2018 and its activities’ range are limited to Spain. PAT is integrated in the Adigital (Spanish Association of Digital Economy) and is open to all relevant actors in the sector. The association is currently formed by HomeAway, Rentalia, Spain-Holiday.com and Niumba, – these platforms represent 250,000 tourist properties altogether and create over 400 direct jobs in Spain.

PAT aims to contribute to the promotion of responsible tourism and to encourage dialogue, cooperation and good practices. PAT’s vision is to position short term rentals as a mature, responsible and transparent sector that has a positive impact on society.

Mr Carlos Villaro Lassen, Secretary General of the EHHA, said: ““We are happy to extend the EHHA family with the Spanish Association of Digital Temporary Rental Platforms. We are looking forward to working with PAT in promoting best practices of STR and working together towards a fair regulation that is easy to comply with.”
