EHHA welcomes Council’s and Parliament’s deal on the STR Proposal

European Holiday Home Association welcomes last night’s Council and Parliament deal on the Commission’s Proposal for a Regulation on a short-term rental data collection and sharing. We hope that the EU data sharing framework for short-term rentals will lead to more justified, proportionate, and non-discriminatory STR rules – rules that respect the principles of the Services Directive.

Once formally adopted by both EU institutions (early December), new Regulation should apply 24 months after its entry into force.

The EHHA stands ready to further cooperate with policy makers to ensure a proper application of the EU Regulation.
