Mr Eduardo Miranda and Ms Marie Pistinier have been recently named as Chairman and Vice-Chairwoman of the European Holiday Home Association (EHHA).
Mr Eduardo Miranda will engage in EHHA’s policy work and Ms Marie Pistinier will be a contact point on topics such as EHHA membership and events.
Bio of Mr Eduardo Miranda:
Mr Eduardo Miranda is also the President of the Portuguese association of local lodging (vacation rental) (ALEP).
Working in the vacation rental industry for more than 10 years, Eduardo Miranda has been an active advocate of a balanced regulation for short-term rental accommodation in Portugal. His experience and knowledge of the Portuguese short-term rental law at a national and cities’ level are of a true added value – Portugal was the first in the EU to introduce a simple, online, quick and easy to comply registration scheme for short-term rentals. Because of his work, short-term rentals were officially embraced in the Portuguese Tourism Value Chain – ALEP has been awarded with the Silver Medal for Tourism Merit by the Portuguese Ministry of Economy. Eduardo Miranda also holds an extensive knowledge in business, entrepreneurship, creation of SME’s and other.
Bio of Ms Marie Pistinier:
Ms Marie Pistinier has been working in the vacation rental industry for 17 years. She started running her own STR agency in Paris and later she has got engaged in the activities of the French association – SPLM (Syndicat des Professionnels de la Location Meublée). Her positive impact was acknowledged as she became the president of the association (SPLM) in 2020. In 2013, she also contributed to the establishment of the EHHA. Marie Pistinier actively facilitates a continuous dialogue between STR accommodation providers and local policy makers to make sure that balanced and proportionate STR rules are created. In addition, she rises awareness of the positive impact of STRs to local communities and local economies. Marie Pistinier is a co-host of a podcast about real estate issues in France and is involved in the activities of several event organizations related to short term rentals.
