STR-Belgium (Short Term Rental Belgium) has joined the European Holiday Home Association (EHHA).
STR-Belgium is a not-for-profit association which was set up at the end of 2019. STR-Belgium defends the interests of individuals and professionals who manage short-term rental accommodation in Belgium. The STR operators who are members of STR-Belgium meet several safety, quality, and transparency criteria, which enable a loyal and competitive offer of the tourist accommodation in Belgium.
STR-Belgium aims to establish itself as a professional stakeholder which contributes to setting up of an ambitious, transparent, objective and sustainable vision for tourism in Belgium. More specifically, STR-Belgium focuses on finding an optimal equilibrium between the interests of different stakeholders (citizens, political authorities, economic actors – leisure and business) in urban areas. STR-Belgium aims to stimulate and assure an economic dynamic that creates skilled jobs and at the same time creates a harmonious equilibrium between the economic players and the housing policies.
Carlos Villaro Lassen, Secretary General of the EHHA, said: “We are very happy that EHHA’s family of trade associations is expanding. I am convinced that STR-Belgium will provide us valuable insights on the Belgian STR market. We are looking forward to working with STR-Belgium! “
EHHA was founded in 2013 by some of the biggest holiday rental industry players in Europe. Its membership consists of managers’ associations, trade associations and national and international companies operating in Europe.
